Alright Tumblr! Let’s do this right this time! These are my original Disney themed cocktails! All drinks were made up, and I did not copy any existing material. Expect a part 2 in the near future! Please feel free to check out & support my Bartending Facebook page at Cocktails by Cody. Thanks! Now let’s get drunk off our childhood! (I do not own Disney’s trademarked characters, blah blah blah don’t sue me please…..)
Yep. Gonna get drunk real soon off of this….
I don’t even drink but I would if it could be a Disney Character
Yummy in my tummy.
F*@*! the (perceived) haters, Lifehacker contributor Sean Kim says:
Believe it or not, we’re not that special. We go through our days thinking about how other people might be judging us. But the truth is—those people are thinking the exact same thing. No one in today’s “smartphone-crazed” society has time in their schedule to think more than a brief second about us. The fact of the matter is, when we do have time get our thoughts straight, we’re too busy thinking about ourselves and our own shortcomings—not others.
A study done by the National Science Foundation claims that people have, on average, 50,000 plus thoughts a day. This means that even if someone thought about us ten times in one day, it’s only 0.02%of their overall daily thoughts. It is a sad but simple truth that the average person filters their world through their ego, meaning that they think of most things relating to “me” or “my.” This means that unless you have done something that directly affects another person or their life, they are not going to spend much time thinking about you at all.
This isn’t just good advice. This is how you survive Tumblr without going insane.
The longer I stay in the city and the older I get the less I care about what others think of me. Which for a naturally anxious person such as myself is generally a good thing. (Hell, my therapist commended me after I bitched out my roommate about his shitty behavior.) I do worry about going to far and caring too little, but so long as I remain true to myself I have nothing to worry about.
Here in Minnesota culturally we thrive upon the comfort of conformity within our social scene. I no longer go out to the bars because I don’t really enjoy drinking. I’ve stopped attending most fraternity events because of how they made me feel. You can love people but not be compatible in habits of socialization. I’ve become firmer in who I am and what I stand for and maybe its the old man in me but certain shit doesn’t matter to me anymore and I refuse to be caught up in others bullshit. The balance is a struggle since I try to be a kind person, but I think you can give fewer fucks and be a good person. I may be more self-centered than I should be, its up for debate but I’ll be 30 next year and I don’t have time for much bullshit anymore.
Life is for being happy. Make it so.
